Besides my house, Norman North High School is probably the
one place I’ve spent most of my time here in Norman. The building itself is structurally
okay but, in all honesty, it lacks any sign of originality. It looks like any
of the other Norman Public Schools buildings in town and I never really felt
excited to enter through its doors. The absolute WORST area in the entire
building is what we would call “the pit.” Unless you’re a freshman, you know to
avoid the pit at ALL costs. Otherwise you’re going to get shoved through a tiny
door-hole by literally hundreds of absent-minded teenagers trying to get to
lunch. It literally makes your heart race trying to get out of there “alive.” We tried multiple times to convince the principal to remove the doors and leave an open archway, which would fix the problem, but sadly nothing ever came of it. Monday, June 23, 2014
