A building
that has negatively influenced me is Meer’s restaurant in Meer’s, Oklahoma. The
building has evolved so that the owner’s maintain a “home” feel and structured
looks patched together. While I respect the owner maintain a unique feel, the
building creates a sense of cluttered claustrophobia that can be overwhelming.
Meer’s attributes it’s success to not changing their recipes and maintaining
their traditions. This might work for their food & marketing angle but I
think that the building is off putting and ugly.
