Xingguo Tower is located in my hometown, Jiangyin, Jiangsu province. China has the large population and long history in the Buddhism. It is popular to build the temples with Buddhism towers to worship the Buddha. It is the harmonious landscape for the classical tower, because it was always surrounded by the lakes and the flourished green plants. The whole scenery seems just like the classical Chinese brush drawing.
Xingguo Tower was built in North Song Dynasty, when is over a thousand year ago. The top of the tower was damaged by the cannonballs during the 1925 warlords' tangled warfare, but the remaining part is still the construction work from a thousand year ago.
And the Buddhism tower often have the precious eminent monk's sarira and Buddhist scriptures buried in the underground palace.
