Church Of Diamantina
This is a small church in Diamantina. This is a church know by Chica da Silva. One of the most famous character of Minas Gerais, Brazil.
The name of the church is San Francisco. Was built between 1766 and 1772 His style is Baroque, and the lining of the chancel was painted by José Soares de Araújo and the sacristy by Silvestre de Almeida Lopes, chief photographer of the region in XVIII century Rococo. The decor mixes with neoclassical features themes and baroque ornaments.
This building get my attention when I was in Diamantina because has to many stories about the construction and the time when was built.
