Nanjing University has over a hundred year of history, and remains many historical buildings in the main campus.
One of the famous buildings in Nanjing University is the North building. The North building was designed by the American architect A.G.Small in 1917. It was the mixture of Chinese classical and Western modern architecture culture in the era when China is facing the extremely transformation and revolution. The main body of the North building has the structure of brick and wood.
What's amazing is that the wall bricks are from the city wall of Ming dynasty, when is over six hundred years far away from now. Boston ivy has covered nearly all the surface of North Building's wall.
