Another of the sites I visited on my trip in 2013 was the Galway Cathedral. On the day that I visited, the cathedral was pretty much empty and the enormity of the building was unexpected. As with most cathedrals, the building has very high ceilings and is shaped like a cross. What I did not expect was the attention to detail that was put into places that were hardly seen by the visitors. Overall, the cathedral was a lovely touch to my time in Galway.
