Yet ancient theater of the worst manifestations of man's inhumanity, the hub of slavery, a pillar of the triangular trade for centuries. Heritage and essential site of world history, Goree Island has that indefinable something that makes it unique, a touch of mystery that makes it memorable. When you go to this place, you can feel what was happened before. It represents many things at the same time for me.
