Arthur Bulin #10-Michigan Central Station

Opened: 1913
Architect: Reed and Stem, Warren and Wetmore
Michigan Central Station is now abandoned. After the post WWII automobile boom the station declined in use until it was finally abandoned in 1988. Now it sits with its future uncertain, an abandoned and decaying structure of a city that has fallen from its previous glory. There is an odd feeling when you look at something like this. A building that at one time was a hub of human activity is now entirely empty and alone. It goes to show that we as people can step away from things more easily than we probably like to admit.
