The Alamo - Nathaniel Ashley

Above is a picture of the Alamo (used from http://www.thealamo.org/ due to being unable to find the pictures of my experience there). The Alamo is a sturdy piece of fine craftsmanship that has survived the ages and to me is a symbol of our founding nation. I experienced this building myself when I went to Texas to play the Trombone during the Alamo Bowl halftime show for my high school. I look back today and remember the fun I had with my friends looking at the inside walls, seeing if we can find someone with our name that fought at the Alamo. Thinking of this makes me wonder if one day my name will be on a wall or history book and people in the future looking back on us. I might even say I strive for this. Not so much to be famous, but to do something worth whiled in this world to be famous for and proud of like the men that fought so long ago.
