The Trevi Fountain in Rome must be one the most magnificent fountains in history. The size and detail of the fountain is beyond expression. When I went to the plaza around the fountain the place held many nice stores and gelato (italian ice-cream) shops, that addition was great to the beautiful atmosphere. Architecture isn't always about buildings sometimes fountains and parks depends almost entirely on architectural experience. The notion you get by just standing in front of the statue filled fountain is incredible, and I believe if the architect was able to achieve that then they have done their job.
