Il Duomo Di Milano- Chase Ossenkop

I recently returned from a study abroad trip where we travelled throughout the Tuscany region of Italy.    I was looking forward to the trip for the entirety of my Spring semester. I have wanted to travel overseas my entire life, and I finally got to go to Italy. I was looking forward to seeing the architecture and the beautiful scenery. Growing up, my mother, grandmother, and I would travel around Texas and the surrounding states to look at Catholic cathedrals in the countryside. So, when I got to Italy I was excited to look at the Catholic cathedrals in the different cities. After making new friends and walking around Milan for a little while, we came across this building. I was in shock. It was the most gorgeous building I had ever seen. It was hard to take it all in, as the closer we got the more the details in the building became apparent. I had never seen such a gorgeous building, and this was the first of many to see on the trip. After touring the building, we learned that each main city area of Italy has its own Duomo, which is the center, main cathedral for that area. This got me excited to see other Duomos throughout Italy. I will always remember the awe that I was left  in upon first viewing this building.
