The Nossa Senhora Aparecida
Cathedral was designed by Oscar Niemeyer in late 1950s. It is a round
construction with 70m of diameter and sixteen concrete columns along it.
Stained glasses cover the spaces between the columns and, in the inside, there
are angels hung from the ceiling, creating a heavenly environment. Looking from
the outside, the Cathedral seems small but once inside, people can see how big
it is.
