Grand Oasis Cancun - Cancun, MX
This resort complex features 736 rooms for guest to enjoy in a pyramid style building that houses them with a bright open skylight where the tip would normally be. The building circulates air through an open air system that brings in fresh air right off of the beach, and its able to pass through the whole complex except the rooms with no walls stopping them from doing that. This unique resort also features the longest pool in all of Cancun with a snake like design that also has swim up bars in them. The reason why this building stands out and means a lot to me is because the very first time I took a trip out of the country, this was the first place I ever stayed. It left its image forever in my head with its design language, it reminded me a lot of the Aztek pyramids. It was by far the coolest architecture I had ever seen out of all of the Cancun resorts.
